We, the people of the City of Sallisaw, State of Oklahoma, under the authority of
the Constitution and laws of the State of Oklahoma, being dedicated to the concepts
of effective and democratic local government by responsible elected officials and
believing that professional general management is essential to the achievement of
this objective, do hereby adopt, ordain and establish this amended Charter as the
Charter of the City of Sallisaw, Oklahoma, which Charter shall henceforth become and
be the organic law of the city and shall supersede any existing charter and laws affecting
the organization and government of the City which are in conflict herewith.
