§ 58-1. Advisory library board.

(a)

There is hereby created the library board of the city. The library board shall consist of five persons who shall be residents of the city. The members of the library board shall be appointed by the board of commissioners and shall hold office for a term of three years. Terms of the members of the library board shall be staggered.

(b)

It is the duty and responsibility of the library board of the city to advise the board of commissioners on the operation and maintenance of the public library.
